Been to long

ART BLOCK!!!

IDEAS PEOPLE! I need them. Anything really, I'm taking requests!

This is by far the toughest art block I've ever had. Alot of the drawings I have been doing are just re-draws.

If I can't produce art my my mother is making me get a 5 day a week job instead of a 2 day a week job. And that would completely murder my muse.

Ive been trying alot of things to get my inspiration back. Watching Stargate SG1 has helped a little. Although I might have an answer to the problem.

Alot of my art is created while listening to music. and alot of my ideas come from listening. but lately its been hard to talk with my girlfriend over the internet if I have loud music playing. I love to talk to her, but I think I might be time to start scheduling the time that I speak with her so that I can get some art done. Talking with her will be considered fun time. Drawing will be considered work time. Same goes for my videogame playing and such. It will all have to be scheduled. I want a painting every 2 days. but my rate right now is 1 every 2 weeks.

arg its getting to the point where I wonder if I should go into some other field.


I feel this new discipline will make my art flourish.

Also going to get going on some 3D projects I have planned.

like I said earlier, get yourself an old book (mine is lined paper book because its just scrap art anyway..plus lined paper books are stupid cheap compared to blank : P ) and when ever you get an urge to draw something or you think of something put it in that book, also practice drawing quick little thumbnail sized sketches of things around you if you are out or where ever, I find it helps me and later on you will have this book of sketches and ideas if you ever need them.

Technically I have that already. I have that binder full of the art that goes with my novel. The majority of it needs a redraw. Im talking about brand new creative ideas.

i find that drawing fan art for whatever (movies, books, comics etc) is a great way to find my muse. i start drawing something for a show and i just keep adding to it and before i know it, it has very little to do with whatever i was drawing for, but it's still amazing, or while doing it you get ideas that you can do separately for your own stuff. basically, try doing some fan art scenes/pics
